んにちは！ はじめまして。

I am extremely excited to teach the 4/5th grade class this year with Ross Sensei. What a wonderful opportunity this will be. I look forward to working with all of the students and parents.

SJS and I share the same mission and values. I hope to teach cultural awareness and integrate other parts of the world in my instruction. There is nothing more valuable than opening your eyes and hearts to other cultures and traditions. I spent a year and a half teaching English at a middle school in Wadayama, Japan. Wadayama is located in the Asago District, Hyogo, Japan. The population is about 18,000. Living in Japan was an experience I will never forget. I encourage all of my students to visit another country, even if it's for a short time.

My family is the most important thing in my life. My husband is my high school sweetheart and together we have an almost three-year-old son, Weston. We currently live in Newberg (where we grew up) and love the small town community.
